We discussed in groups today, the positions of roles and responsibilities needed to make the market function smoothly and in a way we are all communicating our ideas. We looked at how different kinds of management systems worked and how we could implement it within our market. We did this by presenting our collected ideas we had formed within our teams and voted on those we thought would work well. Our Stall We initially had the idea of creating a collected art piece by whiting out a room where you would go in and write on a designated section with an invisible ink pen, and having a big reveal at the end. We didn't stick with this idea for to long as we quickly figured out problems with the actual pens themselves ( they don't work very well). So we decided to look into other ways of creating an experience. and began brainstorming what we believed to fit into the real of impossible things, and then we had an Epiphany...Travelling ...

Team Photo -Monica Precedents Systems of Exchange - Gifting -Danielle Discussions around systems of exchange We looked at exchanges of seeds: Gifting of clothing Charity Gifting of koha (in regards to different materials) Precedent Analyses For our precedent, we looked at the organisational structure of Gloriavale. They have a simple hierarchical model (the standard top-down pyramid shape). Looking at the cons in the structure it was pretty obvious that the top two tiers hold too much power and can make all the decisions. We would propose that the two top tiers can represent our tutors and paper co-ordinator acting as advisors rather than decision makers. Thus leaving the decision making to the leadership council through voting. Or we could eliminate the top two altogether. -Mary & Gabriella
